Our group sessions are available to two formats: 1. Virtual Online Groups 2. Live In-Person Groups

Virtual Groups
Live virtual sessions are offered Tuesdays at 1:00PM and Wednesdays at 10:30AM. You are welcome to join at any time and attend as often or as seldom as you like. You do not have to turn on your camera on or identify yourself to other participants. Rest whenever you like. Although I often solicit questions, there is no expectation that you have to discuss or reveal personal information. Loose comfortable clothing is recommended.

When you register, your email address will be added to our mailing list and you will receive an email containing a Webex link a few minutes before sessions begin. Just click on the link in your email to join a session.

Advisory Statement on Virtual Care

According to OntarioMD (https://www.ontariomd.ca):

“Virtual Care has some inherent privacy and security risks that your health information may be intercepted or unintentionally disclosed. We want to make sure you understand this before we proceed. In order to improve privacy and confidentiality, you should also take steps to participate in Virtual Care in a private setting, use an encrypted email service if available, and you should not use an employer’s or someone else’s computer/device as they may be able to access your information.”

The video platform will have a record of your attendance if you choose to participate but not your OHIP number, contact information, or medical information. Please understand that by accepting the invitation to participate, you are giving consent to taking part in the kind of virtual care the group offers.

In-Person Groups

Sessions are held every Thursday at 10:30 AM and located at the Northern District branch of the Toronto Public Library at 40 Orchard View Blvd .

The library is one block north of the Yonge and Eglinton intersection and half a block west of Yonge Street. It is a very short walk from the Yonge-Eglinton subway station. There is street parking as well as paid parking in the immediate neighbourhood.

As with the virtual sessions, you are welcome to join at any time and attend these sessions as often or as seldom as you’d like. You’ll be free to take a break at any time during a session. Although I often solicit questions, there is no expectation that you have to discuss or reveal personal information. Loose comfortable clothing is recommended.

Although our sessions are a medical service, they are obviously quite different from a regular office visit. I do not take a medical history or act as a consultant for anyone’s individual problems. The sessions are more like a class and there is no disclosure of any confidential medical information.
