Free Download - Jacobson Relaxation
Here is our version of the classic relaxation method developed in the 1920s by Edmund Jacobson. It’s a foundational component of the online course and is found in the Sitting Meditation section of the course, right after the sitting posture lesson. That lesson is also available for free here. We offer our recording here free of charge since the method itself is so well known. This is our own audio recording to which we’ve added original music. The music can be used on its own evoke the relaxation created by using the technique. However, that it’s important to use the full Jacobson Technique daily for at least 21 days before using the music alone for relaxation. This is to ensure the feeling of release has become a natural sensation for you. After that, the music alone can be used to evoke the feeling. What is The Jacobson Relaxation Technique?
It’s a method that involves the sequential tensing and releasing of muscles throughout the body. The beauty of the method is that you can tense as little or as much as you wish, so you have complete control over the process. You will need to put aside a half hour for each session.
